Good,

Anyone who has understood something about Embodied Language (EL) will feel good, blessed and reassured to know that, because of our new language, everything can still work out. It's not about using certain words that I or others use, but about the words that suit you exactly and to speak in the way you would like.

Of course, everyone who has gone through the transformation from Disembodied Language (DL) to EL has a responsibility to create more EL for themselves in the first place, but also to let others know, that it is high time to stop DL, so we can finally start having some EL. This is an important moral issue we have not yet faced or able to read, because we have not yet written about what it is  like to hear ourselves when we really speak to ourselves and are therefore able, to listen to ourselves.

There is nothing else we can do, but try to talk to ourselves and thus hear, experience and admit, that we ourselves - and therefore everyone - can indeed recognize the great difference between DL and EL, but that we didn't have this distinction before, to be able to talk about our everyday way of speaking. There is no question about it, we usually have DL again and we rarely, if ever, get to have EL. There's something absolute about EL that can't be avoided.

You can only have EL after you have stopped your DL. To succeed in that, you will have to take yourself out of your own conditioning. You either do it or you don't. It is a matter of observing yourself, listening to yourself and hearing, whether you are doing one or the other. You could also say, that you misbehave in DL and you are well behaved in EL. It is very important to acknowledge both your DL and your EL. Only if you do that will your EL continue.

If you only want EL and don't want to admit you have DL, your conditioning to have DL continues. In other words, you suffer and you stay in trouble. You can easily give up trying to stop your own DL. You probably will, because your conditioning history is so powerful, yet there's nothing stopping you from experimenting again and experiencing the fruits of the work you've done. Everything you do to stop your DL will always, in some way, work out positively, even if those results only become visible or audible over time.

Of course, once you learn the difference between DL and EL, you only want to have EL, but wanting EL will frustrate you, as it implies that you are still denying your DL. When you have EL, you don't want EL at all, but you can have it, because you've done what you needed to do to have it: you’ve stopped your DL. Even if it seems very simple, there is an enormous amount of work and listening involved in stopping your DL, for your habitual way of speaking not only causes how you generally interact with your own language, but it also regulates all your other behaviors.

A certain behavioral pattern is associated with DL and a completely different behavioral pattern is associated with EL. Although it is revealing and interesting to have EL, we often lose ourselves in the conditioning-derived desire to want something special. Having had little or no EL, we're making EL into something, which it isn't at all. Our longing for something spiritual, for something mystical, for something new, for something we so to speak want with all our heart and soul, of which we can never seem to get enough, makes our DL repeat itself.

When we have EL, all kinds of unnecessary behavior disappear by itself. There is no longer any urge for anything else. The remarkable thing is that we feel reborn, because our language allows us to stay in the here and now. Even though many times we fail to stop our DL, every time we do what needs to be done, we manage to get it done, when we listen to ourselves. We can only hear ourselves if we talk to ourselves out loud. Nothing can be heard if we do not produce sound. Furthermore, there is nothing but noise and disaster to be heard as long as we continue to talk to ourselves with DL. We don't want to hear this, yet we unconsciously continue to make that nasty sound of our stress, dissatisfaction, fear, confusion, defensiveness and arrogance. We can tell ourselves, so to speak, we don't want DL, but it's not true, since we keep producing it anyway.

When we finally admit to ourselves, with great dismay, that we apparently prefer DL over EL, then a shift begins to take place, as we start to talk to ourselves about why this is so. Simply put, we keep having DL over and over because we obviously think of ourselves as bad, wrong, stupid, unworthy, unintelligent, or unimportant. In DL, what we say, what we can formulate, what we think – our language – is supposedly not important enough.

In DL, we can never really be ourselves and even though we write about it, our writing is a form of DL. Our writing is usually even less important than what we say, which is why we talk more often than we write. There are, of course, many writers, who believe they are writing from EL, but the fact remains that they always wrote from DL, because they have never engaged in speaking aloud to themselves and listening to the sound of their voice.

Once our EL increases, because we've stopped our DL - not just once or twice, but as many times as we need to, perhaps even hundred thousand times - then the importance of our writing about our EL increases, because it's the way is in which our EL stabilizes. While there is social reinforcement of our EL when we share it with others, it is not enough to allow our EL to continue. Therefore, it is necessary to enjoy EL, by writing about it, as that determines the self-reinforcing effects. Moreover, writings are objective, in that they can be read and experienced by others. Those who have never heard of EL can read about it and start their verification experiment. This writing is one of the very first writings about our new way of communicating. Once there are multiple descriptions about the huge difference between DL and EL, more and more people will read about it and start to engage in EL, because we are all enlightened and we unknowingly want to continue with our EL because of our original state, which is our Language Enlightenment (LE).

Goed,

Deeper,

There's just no getting around the fact that when we eventually start to have Embodied Language (EL), we're actually going deeper into ourselves, so to speak. Of course, this metaphorical way of speaking is only – so to speak – for there is no deeper or higher self. We use those kinds of expressions to make something known.

The so-called deeper is always related to the so-called superficial, and our higher self is always related to our so-called lower self. There is nothing paradoxical about the fact that by speaking more deeply about ourselves we go to our higher selves and thus to our Language Enlightenment (LE), but in reality there is only a change in our use of our language taking place, that could not have taken place, as long as we didn't listen to ourselves.

The major difference between Disembodied Language (DL) and EL is that during EL we listen to ourselves and this listening to ourselves determines that we can listen to others. In DL, on the other hand, listening to others is always the focus and we completely forget to listen to ourselves. So you could also say that because of listening to yourself, you sink deeper into yourself.

The so-called embodiment of our language or of ourselves, of course, is itself merely a way of talking, for there is in reality no entity that embodies, accepts, allows, becomes aware, acknowledges, or recognizes itself. So, during DL, we are unknowingly just endlessly juggling with words, but in EL, we stop with all our usual tricks, gimmicks and habits.

In DL, it is apparently of great importance whether we are talking about our so-called superficial or our deeper selves, or our higher or lower selves, but during EL, that distinction no longer matters to us. So in EL, we are finally ourselves, so to speak, as we realize – because we listen to ourselves and thus have become aware of ourselves – that we have actually always been enlightened and that this is of course also the case for others.

The absence of reactive tendencies is made possible by the conscious cessation of our habit. DL is our conditioning with language, which has prompted us to do something—with our language—other than what we actually want. In DL we do, involuntarily - with our language - what we ourselves do not want to do, and once we realize this, we immediately, without any effort, stop doing it.

As long as we have not been able to express to ourselves – by repeatedly talking to ourselves aloud and by listening to the sound of our own voice – what we really want, we are also unable to stop our DL and to have EL. The indisputable, pleasurable fact of EL is that it's real and natural, and it happens all by itself, whereas DL always costs us, as it takes  tremendous pain and effort. From our conditioning, however, we are inclined to pretend that the matter is exactly the other way around, and that DL is therefore something to which we, for the sake of convenience, fall back from old habit, but nothing could be further from the truth. There is absolutely nothing convenient about stressful, anxious DL.

In order to have DL, we violate ourselves and thus each other, again and again, because we force, coerce, punish and blow ourselves up, in order to continue to pretend to be who we believe we are but cannot be , because who we really are is not a belief. That is why EL is always a relief, liberation, relaxation, release, coming home after a pointless search, crying about what was impossible and letting go of what is unnatural. Of course, only our EL's hallowed progress can produce the correct description of our LE, which remained unknown and unspoken during DL. Saying what does us good makes us do everything that makes us happy and what makes others happy as well. Happy Valentine's Day.

Dieper,

Happy Valentine’s Day.

Now,

I immigrated to the United States in 1999. It was the best decision I have ever made. Upon my arrival, I wrote a poem, which predicted how my life was going to be. Although it is now twenty-four years later, I happily say, I have accomplished my goal.

Now that I am here

I know that for year after year

I have been avoiding my fear

Now that I agree

I say what is true for me

I let it come out and be free

Now that I know

My struggle was just a big show

I can finally let it all go

Now that I feel

It is not a very big deal

I calmly step out of the wheel

I assume everyone, who reads this blog, has heard about enlightenment. Most people believe it to be something out of reach, only for some, supposedly, highly developed spiritual persons, but I am here to tell you, that Language Enlightenment (LE) is for everyone, in the same way, you can already speak, listen, read and write. My version of enlightenment isn’t anything you have ever heard about: listening to the sound of your own voice, while you speak.

In this writing, you read about the great difference between when we hear our sound, while we speak and when this is not the case. The former is called Embodied Language (EL), the latter Disembodied Language (DL). You engage, without knowing it, day in day out, in DL. I know you don’t believe me, but, perhaps, you can, for now, suspend your disbelief? I know what I write is very simple and redundant, but if you stop your DL and follow along with my EL, you will be surprised what happens, especially, if you do as I say: start reading this text aloud, from the very beginning and listen to your voice while you read. If you do that, you will be able to notice the important  difference, between your own DL and your own EL.

The more I write about my EL and my LE, the more I realize, people are not getting it, because they want it to be something special. When you hear your own voice saying it, you can let yourself know, that both EL as well as LE are very normal. However, DL isn’t normal, it is, pardon my French, fucked up. You are always feeling stressed out, anxious, dissatisfied, depressed, frustrated, confused, distracted and lonely with DL and, yes, this is how you usually feel, because you usually engage, unconsciously, in DL.

If you would continue to engage in EL, you would be expressing, as I do, LE and feel confident, satisfied, happy, energized, caring, nourished, calm, hopeful, relaxed or relieved. So, yes, all there is to the great difference between DL and EL, is that you either use your language in a negative or in a positive manner. Obviously, when you keep using your language in a positive way, you are able to experience your LE.

DL is abnormal, as in DL, you always pretend to be someone special, but you are just another human being and yes, one day, like everyone else, you will die. I know you are afraid of death and that is why your way of talking and, subsequently, dealing with language, makes you fantasize about eternal life, but there is no such thing. If you engage in EL, as you hopefully are, right now, you grow up and you let go of all your childish, nonsensical demands.

Now that you are hearing your own voice, while you are reading my writing, you can acknowledge, I am not trying to sell you on EL or LE. It wouldn’t work anyway. You can be sold and – whether you admit or not – you are sold, hook, line and sinker, again and again on DL. I love the simplicity, which I can have because of my EL. You could say, that my LE, is the simplicity and sensitivity, expressed by my EL.

Although it is true, that sensitivity and simplicity are characteristics of our EL and LE, there more to it, than judgmental people with DL admit. With EL, we can be verbal, vocal, logical and hilarious about the workings of DL as well as EL. These two opposing, mutually exclusive ways of dealing with language have their own logic. However, if we consider the workings of DL with EL, we express very different implications about DL, than when we, as we usually – in vain – try to do, talk with our DL about our DL.

These days, people talk a lot about trans-genderism. In colleges and in universities, whole departments are set up to facilitate this hype. Parents, teachers, doctors, psychologists and therapists promote this idea, which, presumably, is about being your real self. Not coincidentally, we are being told to change our language, but the possibility of EL is completely covered up. All we hear is another version of DL. It is very clear to anyone with EL, as long as we can’t have EL – because we don’t yet know about it – we have no other choice, than talk with DL about DL.

Even though people around the world are involved in it, it isn’t possible to talk with DL about our DL. All we do, is pretend with our DL, as if our way of dealing language is better than DL itself. Surely, we keep coming up with more manipulative, scheming, complicated, purple-hair-splitting DL, but it is still DL and, consequently, our DL never stops, so that our EL could start. DL must stop before EL can begin.

Even if, by chance, we manage to temporarily stop our DL and have some EL, we don’t know how to continue with it and ongoing EL or world-peace, is merely an unachievable ideal, dream or belief, for which we, inadvertently, fanatically, desperately, but above all, unintelligently, are willing to sacrifice just about anything. EL shows us DL’s grim reality.

Ongoing EL is only going to happen, after we have had so much of it, that we can recognize our LE and begin to have faith in the irrevocable fact, that we always unknowingly wanted EL and not DL. It is our natural state (LE), which tells us to have EL instead of DL, but due to our conditioning history with DL, we misunderstand our natural state, and, therefore, we keep acting out of fear. DL, our outdated way of dealing with our language, illustrates this sad fact.

Memoir,

Why do famous people write a memoir? It is to set the record straight. They still want to express something, they feel wasn’t seen or heard. They want to reveal, at least for once, who they really are. This also, of course, may involve revenge, as they wish to get back at those, who have wronged them. They want to explain, mostly to themselves, why they did what they did. Even those, who feel like failures, attempt to use their language, to feel better about themselves. They write journals and if they kill others and go on to kill themselves, they often leave behind a manifesto for others to read.

I will never write a memoir, as I have Embodied Language (EL). Writing a memoir, is a desperate act which derives from Disembodied Language (DL). I write this blog about my Language Enlightenment (LE), which has made me realize, that DL and EL don’t mix. EL can only be understood by someone with EL. I can only address all those, who have DL, by insisting, they are absolutely under-performing.

Surely, when I put my finger on the horrible fact, that mechanical DL is everywhere, that there has never been and that there will never be, a way in which we are ever going to be able to address it and stop it with our DL, I am still having EL. I even have EL, if I say or write that your DL is dumb, disgusting, superficial, unacceptable, boring and very harmful.

Memoirs, presumably, are factual written accounts of what someone, as always, selectively remembers about certain events and people. However, there can’t be anything factual that is a product of our DL. We are dealing with written, not spoken language, as there was never any time or opportunity to speak about it. Without knowing it, we are pushed into creating written accounts, as coercive DL rules, everywhere. I write with the full knowledge, that you, who have DL, are unable to engage with me in EL. I don’t feel pushed into writing because of DL, to the contrary, it is because of LE, I can now express my EL in writing. Besides, I already have EL with one person and that is sufficiently satisfying to me.

Anyone, who has had enough EL, to become aware about their LE, will produce writings, such as these, in which they victoriously put DL in its dark place. They do this out of a sense of pride and joy, as they know very well EL-writing is, of course, as needed as EL-speaking. Stated differently, anyone who knows about the immense difference between DL and EL, recognizes the insidious fact, that all books and writings are derived from the DL, which the authors have been unconsciously involved in, their entire lives. There are no writings about EL and although, this writing may never be read by anyone, I have written it, because I am able to write it and read it.

Intelligence,

I heard someone on TV, annoyingly, repeatedly talking about the supposedly important book he had written, about intelligence. He said in a tone of importance “What I talk about in my book is that intelligence begins with acknowledging reality.” He wasn't talking about intelligence, of course, but about what we have continued to pretend to be intelligence because of our commonplace, disembodied way of talking. Disembodied Language (DL) not only causes us to converse unintelligently with each other and with ourselves, but also causes us to engage in all sorts of other ludicrous acts that we would immediately stop if we spoke from our intelligence and engaged in Embodied Language (EL). Everyone has their own intelligence when we speak with EL instead of DL.

With our EL we readily admit that nothing is ever actually said in a book. No one talks about anything in what he or she has written, including me, in this text, which is most likely being read silently by you. However, if you were to read this text aloud, you would begin to talk to yourself about what I have written and you would be able to hear what I have written, but you would not hear me, but yourself. Only when you talk to me, can you hear me. I hope this writing encourages you to do so. You can send me an email and make an appointment. There is no cost attached,  as I do this because I enjoy this. Here is my email address: mpeperkamp@sbcglobal.net

Even if you listened to me, in the same way, as I listened to that attention-seeking, pedantic man, who was trying to promote his book on intelligence, even then, you wouldn’t really hear me, because this man, he doesn't really talk, as he is only selling his so-called message about intelligence. He has DL and so, he only pretends to talk, because he hopes we will buy his book. In English language "to-buy-into" is the same as believing what someone says. If someone says, he or she is not interested in reading New Age books, he or she says: "I-don't-buy-into-it", which means, he or she does not believe in those books. When someone says, "I don't buy into all that New Age crap," that person is rejecting not just one single idea, but "a whole set of ideas," and that's exactly what we do when we stop doing our DL.

You and I can, of course, talk to each other about what was written in some book, but even if, as millions of people do, we talk with each other about the was written in the Bible, the Upanishads, or the Torah, we never have a real conversation, for our conversation is limited by what was written. This, in short, is the sordid history of the written or printed word. Once the printing press was invented, we started talking from what was written by others. It is very important to take a closer look at this incredible change, because it has caused us to neglect and forget the sound of our own language.

When I discovered EL, I called it the rehabilitation of our sound-experience of our language. Talking intelligently is only possible if we embody our language and speak about our direct experience of our talking. I still find it inconceivable no one really pays any attention to this, because that attention just keeps going, to all sorts of other things, that seem to be more important. So everyone keeps pretending that what is written in books would determine our intelligence and we all, in that unintelligent way of dealing with language, put the cart (our language) before the horse (our voice).

When we have come to experience the immense difference between DL and EL, we know that our intelligence can only arise, be generated or revived by how we talk with each other. Recognizing and acknowledging the reality, which we, individually, create for ourselves, with our spoken-and-heard language, I call our Language Enlightenment (TV). Written language, such as this text, cannot but be preceded by spoken language. Much EL preceded these words. In other words, we cannot write about what we have not yet been able to say. As a result, we all – the writers and the readers – live under the illusion that, by reading, we are taking part in a conversation, which in reality is nothing more than the inevitable fantasy, born of our unfulfilled and unconscious desire for sincere communication.

All those praised speakers who, because they have written books, give lectures, make podcasts and or videos or have their own radio or TV program, in which they apparently tell it like it is, are only pretending to have a conversation with others or with themselves, while none of them— so-called leaders and authorities, so highly regarded by so many, because they are supposedly so intelligent—listens to themselves. In order to talk about what we really experience, we must listen to ourselves, but this does not happen, because listening to others and being heard and being acknowledged, by others, always proves to be more important than hearing ourselves, consciously and recognizing ourselves. We are and we remain unconscious of ourselves, as long as we are engaged in DL.

Although it is certainly deeply sad that no one is able to have EL, it is fortunate enough to be able to share it with one or two people. For those who have come to know EL, it's a matter of accepting the fact that this is the reality. However, the big shock this brings is mitigated, as we recognize the difference between DL and EL. As a result, the few who have come to experience EL, are no longer distracted by DL and a self-reinforcement of EL takes place that could never have happened without this insight.

Because of EL, all strife and discontent about DL is suddenly allowed and coming into our awareness, because it is understood that strife and discontent is the very essence of DL. We forgive both ourselves and each other because we simply didn't know any better with DL, than to act from old conditioning, which was undeniably associated with primitive, survival-oriented impulses. There is no time to lose in regretting all the stupidities we have committed with DL, on the contrary, once we have EL, we are finally free and have solid ground under our feet.

It is very poignant that we have been unconsciously engaged with DL for many years, but EL takes us to a reality that we will never forget, even though we still occasionally fall victim to our old conditioning with DL. When we realize the enormous difference between these opposing modes of communication, we feel blessed and saved from colossal calamity, because we know, everyone is imprisoned by DL, without realizing it, while we ourselves, somehow, miraculously, escaped from this dance of the dead.

Our certainty about our future is diametrically opposed to the uncertainty we continued to have with DL. It's unbelievable, but at the same time, precisely because no one else seems to really believe it, that it's such an incredible reassurance, that what we believe is true. Those few people who discover EL and thus, go on with it, they feel chosen, but not in the stupid way, as one also feels special, because of a belief in a non-existent higher power or some grandiose self-image. EL truly makes us believe in ourselves and allows us to start living from our own intelligence.
