Myself,

With Embodied Language (EL) there is no me, inside of me, who, supposedly, does what I do. Funny-how, I am myself, I can be myself, because there is no self. Moreover, I am happy with and confident in myself, because I don’t have a mind. I speak, listen, write or  read, but there is no I, while I’m speaking, listening, writing or reading, as there is only behavior. Surely, I am very alive, while there is no I, who behaves me. I am happy, peaceful and full of energy, yet, there is no me, who has this experience, it just so happens.

In Disembodied Language (DL) I couldn’t be myself, no matter how hard I tried to be myself or whatever I believed to be. Being myself is an experience of oneness, which I call Language Enlightenment (LE). I can hear in the sound of my voice, if I express this or not. Whenever I express my LE, I have EL, but when I express my DL, I have lost touch with my LE. I was, like everyone, conditioned to have DL, but with EL, my LE become revealed and being myself, is my LE.

Whenever someone has EL with me, they will come to the same conclusion: there is no self and there is no one, who let’s go of his or her identity. Perhaps, it is best for the reader, who reads this, to consider a simple example. Let’s say, you make yourself a sandwich. There is no self, just your handling of the knife, the plate, the bread and the peanut-butter. In other words, you know what to do and how to do it. You have great peanut-butter-sandwich-knowledge, but there really is no you, who has this knowledge.

Whenever you engage in EL, you will repeatedly say things like this: I am amazed at myself, how clever I am. Also, you will often say: I am so happy with and proud of myself, that I have stopped my DL, because I was feeling unhappy and dissatisfied with myself, whenever I engaged in DL. I have made such a big deal about myself, while I engaged DL, but with EL, being myself means, I have no problems and have  nothing to worry about. Indeed, being myself, is to be free of the me, who I believed to be. With my EL, my LE has instructed me, to stop believing in myself.

I still use the same language, now that I can have EL, but I use it totally differently, from when I was using DL. When I changed from DL to EL, I stopped being who I never was and I became, who I have always been. While I was speaking with myself and listening to myself, it happened, in a moment. I felt no longer negative, but positive, since my language no longer drained my energy, but filled me with energy. I say there is no me inside of me and that is why it is so.

Whenever you engage in EL, you will become aware how often you unconsciously engage in DL. Surely, there really is no you, who engages in DL or in EL, but in DL, you are convinced to be there, while in EL, you have blissfully dissolved in your LE. And, you will proudly say: I did all this by myself, because nobody could stop my DL for me. Your DL stopped, as you realized it happened again, you were overtaken by your conditioning. At some point – after you have explored your LE with your EL – the you, who was, presumably, overtaken by DL, has disappeared, and, therefore, you are no longer affected by DL. You have not stopped your DL, as it stopped by itself.

Only with DL, you keep asking yourself: why is this still happening to me, while I keep telling myself, I deserve something better? Obviously, you are not really listening to yourself, because you don’t take the time, to really speak with yourself. Furthermore, who you believe to be, keeps you more busy about others than about yourself. With EL, you will ask yourself the serious question: when are you going to take care of yourself? I know your answer, because it is the same for everyone with EL. Your answer will be: I only begin to care take of myself, when talking with myself, becomes more important than talking with others. With others, I keep having DL, but by talking with myself, I can step out of DL and have EL.

By talking aloud alone and by listening to ourselves, we easily step out of our DL and our identity. Until now, this has been considered a spiritual matter, but it is actually a language-skill. We instruct ourselves by disengaging from the DL with others and we free ourselves, to be able to talk with ourselves and have EL. With EL, I calmly say: I have to protect myself, in the way that has proven to be most effective. In EL, we really listen to what we say to ourselves. We are our own authority and we follow through on our own reasoning, our own intelligence, our own LE.

Doorlopend,

Continuously,

After you have discovered the immense difference between your Disembodied Language (DL) and your Embodied Language (EL), you can’t miss, that from now, you can continuously have EL. While it is certainly true, your conditioning history with DL isn’t immediately finished, you know it is possible to return to EL, no matter how often you forget. Each time, you talk again with yourself and listen again to yourself, you effortlessly find back your EL, which basically continues exactly from where you left it.

This going back, to where your language began to separate you from your experience, isn’t a going back to the last time you had EL, but it is a going back – all the way – to when you were still a baby, who hadn’t yet learned how to speak. Yes, in this pre-verbal state, there was only experience, but no language. EL is listening to yourself while you speak, which means, experiencing yourself while you speak. This experience makes a new understanding possible, which is expressed by you as your EL.

Everybody wants to be happy, but the reason, we want to be happy, is because we are not happy. If we are happy, we don’t want to be happy. We only want to be happy, when we are unhappy. Why are we unhappy? Are we unhappy, because we can’t be happy or is there something, that keeps diminishing our happiness? Of course, we can be happy, but we have never acknowledged, our language doesn’t allow us to be happy. We can only be happy, if our language fits with our happiness. Those moments we were happy, our language matched with our experience of happiness, or we were so happy, that we were speechless, that language wasn’t needed.

The so-called problem of one and the many, has been discussed continuously by philosophers. I am not a philosopher and to me, there is no problem, because I have EL continuously. Philosophers, who endlessly talk about this matter, obviously repeat something, they are unable to figure out, because they unconsciously, continuously engage in DL. They can’t find the one thing or reality that underlies the diversity and complexity of the universe, because they never listen to themselves while they speak.

Anyone who engages in EL, continuously hears him or herself, while he or she speaks. This attention for our own sound, makes us experience the speaker as his or her own listener. In other words, the speaker and the listener – who is the speaker – are always experienced as one in EL. By contrast, during DL – in which we don’t listen to ourselves while we speak – we, unknowingly, experience a separation between the speaker and the listener, who speaks. Therefore, DL is the language of duality, in which we imagine we have a mind, but EL is the language of oneness. When we, in EL, as speakers, experience ourselves, as one with the listener, it is clear to us, when we speak with others, that they, as listeners, are also one with us, because we always perceive the speaker and the listener as one. Also, when others talk, we, as listeners, are always one with them, because in EL the speaker is the listener. In effect, when we hear others talk – in EL – we hear ourselves talk, because we listen to others in the same way as we listen to ourselves, and we talk with others in the same way as we talk with ourselves.

Our ability to engage in EL, continuously, is a skill which can only be acquired if we stop our own DL. The continuation of our EL signifies our Language Enlightenment (LE), which is just another way of saying, we are always one with reality. We don’t experience, as in DL, as if we are separate from the world, but we are one with it, because that is our reality. Thus, our EL always expresses our LE and that is why, it can go on continuously. Surely, in DL, due to the way we use our language, we imagine to be separate from reality. DL is simply the incorrect way of using language and EL is the correct way.

Only after we have discovered the great difference between our DL and EL, do we begin to admit and acknowledge and comprehend, how much we are actually troubled by our conditioning history with DL. Although we definitely begin to become capable of arranging instances in which can experience our EL, instead of DL, we are painfully aware, about the fact that we don’t have EL continuously. First of all, there is no one else, to have EL with us, because no one realizes, that listening to ourselves while we speak and engaging in EL, reveals our LE. Those rare individuals, who continuously pursue blissful EL, continuously feed off of each other, as they are the only ones, who are capable of doing this. Of course, it would be great, if we would all be doing this.

Disappeared,

Once you have Embodied Language (EL), instead of your usual problematic, automatic, erratic, pathetic Disembodied Language (DL), you know, everything you believed has disappeared. Your convictions have  vanished, because they weren’t true. Your dilemma  wasn’t complicated, as it was simply your DL, which you kept repeating. Everybody makes such big deal about overcoming their struggle, because they don’t have DL. In other words, with EL, we have overcome our problems. We dared to say that it is so, because our EL expresses our Language Enlightenment (LE).

When we say something disappeared right in front of our eyes, into thin air, we are talking about something we saw, which is no longer visible, but when we speak about the mutation, which took place due to our EL, we are talking about something we heard, which we no longer hear. Initially, the difference between DL and EL is enormous, because we were hopelessly stuck in DL to our verbal self-concept, but our overrated  identity completely, effortlessly dissolves, in our EL.

You can try it out yourself. Sit alone and tell yourself whatever is in your attention and listen to the sound of your voice. You will hear the change in your voice, when you shift from DL to EL and, yes, whatever you were paying attention to – that is, whatever you just have verbalized – disappeared, like snow in the sun. However, if this doesn’t occur, your will very quickly stop talking with yourself, because you don’t like to listen to your own DL. Others always dislike your DL, but you yourself hate it even more, that is why – if you wish to continue talking with and listening to yourself – you only have one choice: stop your DL.

You can’t really say, with EL, that LE is your identity, because you feel totally new, each moment, you are able to step out of your dreadful conditioning history with DL. Apparently, after you have done this often enough, you don’t care about your identity anymore, because your DL doesn’t happen anymore and you dissolve into nothingness. Moreover, in EL, your language works for you, instead of – as in DL – against you. Unbelievable as this may sound – while you say this to yourself – there are and there will always be, positive consequences to your EL, even if you keep noticing, that you keep falling back into your repetitive habit of having DL, many times. Your DL becomes less and less, as your ability to have EL increases. You experience the difference it makes in your life, as all your trouble will have disappeared.

There is nothing mysterious about why you are able to finally let go of all your trauma and drama in EL, because once you listen to yourself while you speak, what you say, becomes less important, than how you say it. In DL, you are verbally fixated and completely forgetful about how you say, what you say. Once you bring your attention again, to how you sound, while you speak – to how you experience yourself, while you talk – you happily notice, your fixation on what you say ends. Simultaneously, you hear the sound of your voice changing. You sigh with relief, as your DL and all the problems it has caused, has disappeared.

It is one thing, to stop your DL and to have some EL, but quite another, to be able to continue with your EL and, therefore, to express and to be informed by your LE, which is your intelligence. Unless you have ongoing EL, you can’t give yourself the instructions, which are necessary to avoid DL. We can only give ourselves these verbal directions, by taking time, to speak with ourselves and to listen to ourselves, but as long as our energy is drained by our involvement DL, we will remain unconscious about what is really  happening in our lives. Therefore, only after we have disappeared from talking with and being busy with others, can we and will we appear, in talking with – and being able to stay with – ourselves, in EL.

We all die one day, yet we fear to disappear. This is nowhere clearer than in our use of language. We mainly have DL, because we try – in vain – to hang on to whatever it is we claim to be important. Only if we stop our own DL, can we have a taste of our own EL, in which let go of the verbal descriptions of the sordid, miserable, chaotic, superficial reality, we have created and maintained with our DL. After we have disappeared – with EL into our LE, from the confusing, frightening, stressful, numb rigmarole of DL – can we begin to live in peace and harmony.

After my father-in-law had been cremated, we spread his ashes on the ocean, near Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Once my Chinese in-laws had arrived on the parking lot, we walked together to the end of the small marina. My mother-in-law carried the basket, that held the urn with ashes of her husband. For a while, we sat together, quietly crying, at the end of the pier. My wife’s dad had been such a great man. The urn was opened and the ash was poured into the basked, which was set a-float. Rice-wine and flowers were sprinkled over the basket, which slowly drifted away. When it came to the end of the attached line, the basket was tilted and the ashes spread into the water. You could see it disappear in a cloud, underneath the surface. At that moment, something also disappeared in me. I withdrew from my study in psychology. The dead of Mr. Moy was a remarkable turning-point in my life.

While mourning the loss of Bonnie’s wonderful dad, my ambition to become a psychologist disappeared. It had been such a tremendous struggle. I had also, due to anemia, fallen behind accruing on my clinical hours and on writing my dissertation. The fact was, I was exhausted and drastic steps needed to be made to get back on track. We were living, at the time, in expensive Mountain View, but soon returned back to good old Chico, where housing was more affordable and, unexpectedly, I became psychology instructor.

After nine years of teaching at Butte College, my interest in psychology disappeared, when due to Covid, all my classes had to happen online. Besides, there was nobody in academia with the integrity to recognize the gigantic importance of EL, which I had successfully taught to both my students and faculty.  Meanwhile, I had become a self-taught behaviorist. However, I soon found out, that behaviorists are as disinterested in EL as psychologists. Many people have disappeared from my life, because I continue with EL, while they want to go on with DL. I have no contact with anyone in my family, because no one wants to acknowledge their own ability to have EL.

Now that my EL can steadily continue, my LE shines brightly, every day. As my DL has subsided, I have also been able to stop the self-defeating behaviors, which were caused and maintained by my DL. I am so glad, all the negativity has disappeared from my life. Recently, I was fired from my retirement-job, because my boss kept being disrespectful, mean and unreasonable to me. I wasn’t allowed to say, I felt mistreated, but this is not how I roll. I am glad and relieved the stress from that job has disappeared and I am sure I will find something else to do for another couple of more years.

Politics,

Although politics, per definition, involves endlessly escalating – and seemingly diminishing – cycles of Disembodied Language (DL), there is, of course, a relationship, between how these political narratives increase or decrease our individual wellbeing. The word politics derives from the Greek word, politika, science or art of government. Polis means city, fort, citadel, state or community of citizens; politikos, pertaining to the state and its administration or public life; ta politika, affairs of the state. Only an orderly, stable and safe society could give rise to Embodied Language (EL). I lived in the Netherlands, when I discovered my EL for the first time. Initially, I couldn’t believe it, that I really had found what I had found, but later, it became clear, due to my ongoing EL, I had found my Language Enlightenment (LE).

The great happiness I have discovered in my own EL, allowed me to acknowledge and accept the pain and suffering, I had endured, due to my involvement in DL. In the beginning, I cried very often, whenever I was able to return to my EL, as it was such a relief, but where I am now, I no longer feel I am returning to my EL, because I have it almost all the time. Today, I only sporadically notice the great difference between my DL and my EL, when, for whatever sad or horrible reason, I happen to engage in DL again.

As anyone who reads this understands, my journey with EL is a personal matter. If you are interested in pursuing your own EL, you will definitely be going your own way. Politics is the total opposite, because it is a set of activities, that are associated with making decisions in group or other forms of power relations among individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status. Hilariously, the branch of social science that studies politics and government is referred to as political science. DL is ubiquitous in  in every society, around the world, because it is the fundament on which all politics is based. EL is about the individual, but DL is always about the group.

When people say, politics as usual, what they mean to say is, we are having negative, coercive, brutal,  problematic, unnatural, automatic, unintelligent DL as usual. With DL we are not free and the so-called freedom of speech isn’t attained, because we need to have EL to be free, as individuals. And, when it is said, we should leave our politics out of it, what we are trying to say, but never quite succeed in saying, is that we would like to stop DL and have EL instead.

While it may be somewhat true, that the politics are slowly changing, our destructive DL has continued unabated, as it was never accurately addressed. DL is our commonly accepted, profoundly problematic  way of dealing with language, which sets the stage for all the chaos, conflicts, problems, violence and fragmentation, which keep on increasing, because we have remained incapable of speaking about it.

People may say, in politics, he or she is a Democrat or a Republican, but what we are really saying is, we have an excuse to dominate, force, manipulate, fool,  exploit, disrespect, impair and hurt people with our language, as it fits with the story, we prefer to hear. Surely, politics is – and has always been – a cop-out of authentic human relationship. In DL, speakers, unconsciously, make it seem, as if they are better, higher, holier or more important than the listener.

Make no mistake, as long as we are still having some superficial, idle conversation about everything, from the weather to politics, we aren’t talking about the real issue, which is: as long as our unrealistic, stupid, tenacious DL keeps going, we cannot have any EL. Surely, we aren’t having any EL, because we are all, unconsciously, trapped by habitual, insensitive DL.

Politicians do the exact same things as everyone else: they engage in DL. Like you, they make lies sound truthful, murder respectable and talk about  a better future, which never comes. You too like to stay in power, whether as a father, a mother, a lover, a friend, a volunteer, a consumer, citizen or believer. Yes, you too engage in DL basically every day, as you don’t know how to have ongoing EL. When it comes to how you use your language, you are not joyful, relaxed, playful or creative, but you are coercive, pretentious, defensive and manipulative. You don’t even recognize the simple fact, your happiness must have its own language. It is often said, that this or that issue has been politicized, but politicians talk like everyone else. Our usual way of speaking, DL, sets the stage for how we govern ourselves and, yes, there is a lot of abuse of power going on politics as well as in our daily lives. Presumably, left and right in politics is about right and wrong, but since both parties engage in DL, it is about wrong and wrong.

Anti,

I want everyone, who reads my blog or watches my You Tube videos to know, I am absolutely anti-religion (period). Embodied Language (EL) has no affiliation with any established religion. Also, EL is totally anti-political, as neither right wing nor left wing politics matches up with its premise, although right wing politics seems to be somewhat closer. The notion that a person can speak out loud – with him or herself – and tell him or herself what, according to him or her, is going on with him or her and the rest of the world, isn’t represented by any political party, as the individual can, ultimately, only speak for himself or herself. All politics is anti-individual.

Jump. In ancient philosophy, the dialectical method – which originally refers to a dialogue between different points of view about a subject – people arrive at the truth through reasoned argumentation. However, this debate excluded subjective elements, such as emotional appeal and rhetoric. Here we see the anti-emotional tendency of all philosophy exposed. Dialectic resembles discussion as a form of reasoning, in which the antithesis contradicts or negates the thesis, thus resulting in a synthesis, which may be a combination of the opposing assertions.

Jump. Anti-depressant medications don’t work, but anti-Disembodied Language (DL), certainly will have a therapeutic healing effect. This anti-DL attitude is only going to be beneficial, if it refers to a pro-Embodied Language (EL) attitude, in which we don’t waste time or energy anymore, on being against anything. To be sure, EL is not against DL. If our EL would be against our DL, it wouldn’t be EL. Therefore, the so-called anti-DL stance of EL should only be understood as a pro-EL attitude, but, given the pervasiveness of DL, I call it anti-DL, as DL must urgently be stopped completely, to be able to have EL.

It should be noticed, only half the people, who use anti-depressants, experience alleviating effects. Why is that? If it is true, neuro-biology – which we all have in common – is affected by these medications, why aren’t they helping many more people and why do so many of them continue to commit suicide, mass-murder or feel totally depressed and miserable? Those who kill others, blame others for not helping them, but it is usually not explained in that way. Mass-shootings are always a form of retaliation. Disturbing fact is, these suicidal, murderous people have a point, as psychiatry, medication nor therapy have helped them at all. Of course, their parents too, have totally failed them.

Another jump. None of the anti-racism works, because the issue is not racism, but how we deal with language. If it was really our goal, to stop DL, we would have more EL, but this was never the case. Our goal was always, to let one kind of DL prevail over another kind of DL. This could never result in EL, as preventing DL was never our aim. World peace, if it ever happens, will never emerge from our DL, but from our EL.

Now take another jump. After the horrendous attack on Israel by Hamas, there is, world-wide, a growing tendency to combine anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism. I want everyone, who reads my work, to know, I firmly stand with Israel’s right to fully defend itself. From my perspective with EL, it is evident that Judaism has resulted in more opportunity for EL, than Islam. I had EL with Christians, Jews, Buddhists, left-wing or right-wing zealots, but never with Muslims.

Please, take another jump. I don’t believe in any anti-aging supplements and I want you to eat, whatever you like to eat. If it is not good for you, you will find out, eventually, but if you like what you eat, this is the best way, to a healthy diet. Ultimately, whatever you really like, is the essence of your EL, and if something is bad for you, you weren’t clear about it. If something is bad for you, you should always dislike it and be against it. Therefore, EL teaches us, to be anti-everything-which-isn’t-good-for-us.

Consider. I couldn’t write this post, without mentioning the increasing problem of anti-social behavior. While there is the disgusting and disturbing fact of individualism going berserk, people becoming freaks and acting like a social nuisance, it has never been clearly stated, this troubling phenomenon is made possible by and is the inevitable outcome of the way in which everyone is used to interact with dumb DL.

Going back to my previous point. The opposite of the aforementioned anti-social behavior – in Judaism – is articulated, celebrated, known and implemented as Talmudic hermeneutics. These are written Hebrew scriptures, but they are, in essence, about speaking. Thus, adherence to this written doctrine, is based on what was and is said. Judaism, seems to be unique in that it is the only religion which provides a link between what was said and heard and what was written and read. There is, however, to this day great dissent amongst the Jews, about the extent to which ancient Oral Law derived from and was established by the written law or whether it was the other way around, but if we have EL, this ridiculous question will be finally put to rest. Of course, we have always first talked about stuff before we wrote about it. Anyone who claims, that written language comes first, uses written language or law, to oppress and minimize the effects of spoken language. This is our biggest problem in the world today, but EL is about oral language and is anti-written language.

Now dissolve into space. Whenever someone discovers their EL, they are going to experience an anti-climax. Oddly, Language Enlightenment (LE) is only audible or knowable with ongoing EL, but no one ever assumed, their ultimate happiness would be established by merely speaking, listening, reading and writing. These four overt behaviors pertain to our language and nothing, which refers to thinking or a mind, has any validity in our EL. This anti-thinking, anti-mind stance of our EL, is for most people too far-fetched, but those, who experience and explore EL notice, without doubt, that thought or their so-called mind simply doesn’t exist.

Beschuldigen,

ander gigantisch probleem
met zich mee. Bij waarheids-getrouwheid
is er altijd het probleem, om
duidelijk te kunnen verwoorden,
dat de ene valse theorie ons zogenaamd
dichter bij de waarheid zou
brengen, dan de andere valse
theorie. Iedereen met BT weet
 echter wel dat degenen met
OT nooit of te nimmer hun
eigen waarheid zullen
uitspreken, horen en daardoor
dus accepteren. Ze doen het
altijd voorkomen, alsof hun
benaderingen van ‘de’ waarheid
van grotere waarde zou zijn,
dan hun eigen waarheid, en
dientengevolge wordt ‘de’
 potsierlijke waarheid altijd
 gedefinieerd in termen van
 iets relatiefs.
