Upsetting,
In this writing, I am going to express something which
you might find upsetting. Are you ready? I am just writing it and you are just
reading it, so it cannot be as bad as me saying it and you hearing, feeling,
experiencing and understanding it. I assume, before I let you know about my
unusual statement, that you have already read some of my other texts and that
because of that, you hopefully have at least some familiarity with what I mean by
Disembodied Language (DL) and Embodied
Language (EL).
It is a question, I have heard many times before, but
which I haven’t heard anymore for quite some time by now, because I only talk
with those, who have EL with me. When I still ignorantly, but with good
intentions, in vain, tried to teach people about EL, I was often asked: can you
give me an example of a person, who has EL? They wanted to know, which
celebrity, famous person or icon they could listen to, as a role-model. Surely,
such a question emerged from a superficial understanding of the difference
between DL and EL, as anyone, who has actually attempted to talk out loud with
him or herself and listened to him or herself, would already know, that there
are no public figures with EL. Moreover, if someone would have persisted and prolonged
his or her explorations about the difference between DL and EL, he or she would have to acknowledge, to their own astonishment, that nobody has ongoing EL, as nobody knows
how to have it. Furthermore, if they would talk with me, they would
have to admit, that what they believed to be EL was actually DL and they themselves
have endlessly engaged in DL, while they were claiming to have what they believed
to be EL.
A conversation with me would make clear, that even I,
as the originator of EL – which is the expression of our Language Enlightenment
(LE) – can’t serve as anyone’s template, teacher, guru, or guide. Stated differently,
the only example anyone needs is by having EL themselves, by knowing from own experience the difference when this is not the case. In other words,
unless we ourselves realize our LE with our EL, and, therefore, stop having DL
and continue with our EL, we are beating around the bush. This is also why, I
never really felt like writing a book about it, as it all comes down to whether
you do it or not. I know that I do it, but that doesn’t do you any good, as you
need to know it for yourself.
The remarkable thing about your EL is that when you
have it, you will know that you have it. As long as you still aren’t sure, you
are still having DL. Sure enough, admitting that you are have DL, every day, is
necessary to stop it. Your DL doesn’t and can’t stop, if you remain in denial
of it. The moment, however, you accept, that your conditioning history has affected
you in such a way, that you keep engaging in DL – even after you have already come
to know about the difference between DL and EL – your DL will stop by itself.
It will effortlessly stop, because you hear it, experience it and recognize
that you’ve never heard or recognized it before. In effect, you keep hearing
yourself, again and again, for the first time. It is always the first time, as
you change. In EL you really catch-up
with being alive again.
In DL, you were unconscious, as you were talking automatically
in a scripted, predetermined manner, but in EL your own words create something
entirely new and fresh, as they express your LE. In case you didn’t already get
my point: I am not doing anything for you, even though I share my experience with
you as a friend. Neither I nor anyone else can help you to stop your DL, so you
can have EL. In conclusion, to stop your DL, you must stop paying attention to
others and start paying attention to your self and come to terms with the stunning
fact, that you were never yourself in DL, you never could be yourself, as that
is only possible with EL. Yes, did you read that? Did you get that? EL is the
only path, as there is no other way. You can continue to turn you back on how you
use language, as you have always done, but if you want EL, continuing DL is not
an option.
